Masking Film For Right-hand Traffic Headlights In Left-hand Traffic Countries
NOTE:
- This description applies to left-hand drive vehicles that are driven in countries with traffic regulations for right-hand drive vehicles.
- In order to be able to drive left-hand drive vehicles with lights in countries with traffic regulations for right-hand drive vehicles, the headlights must be covered with masking film.
- Order the masking film from the Porsche spare parts catalogue.
- Masking film "A", "C" and "D" must be identified as follows:
1. Measure out the dimensions shown and mark them on the film.
2. On the back of the film draw in the line shown in the figure from the points marked.
3. Cut the film with a scissors a few millimeters onto the line drawn.
NOTE: The markings that are cut act as orientation aids on the lines of the headlights.
(A) Masking Film For Bi-Xenon, Left
1. Move the film with the orientation aids on the line (second from left >> in the direction of travel) on the headlight until a dimension of "84 mm" is reached.
NOTE: Measure the dimension of "84 mm" with a tape measure, for example, between the upper "1" and lower dimension line "2".
2. Stick on the film.
(B) Masking Film For Bi-Xenon, Right
1. Move the film beside the line (first from right >> in the direction of travel) on the headlight until a dimension of "75 mm" is reached.
2. When this is done, the gap dimension "2" and "3" of "10 mm" from the line to the film must be maintained.
NOTE:
- Measure the dimension of "75 mm" with a tape measure, for example, between the upper "1" and lower dimension line "2".
- Measure the dimension of "10 mm" with a tape measure, for example, from the line to the film "2" and "3".
3. Stick on the film.
(C) Masking Film For Halogen, Right
1. Move the film with the orientation aids onto the line (third from right >> in the direction of travel) on the headlight until a dimension of "102 mm" is reached.
NOTE: Measure the dimension of "102 mm" with a tape measure, for example, between the upper "1" and lower dimension line "2".
2. Stick on the film.
(D) Masking Film For Halogen, Left
1. Move the film with the orientation aids on the line (second from left >> in the direction of travel) on the headlight until a dimension of "129 mm" is reached.
NOTE: Measure the dimension of "129 mm" with a tape measure, for example, between the upper "1" and lower dimension line "2".
2. Stick on the film.
