Removing and Installing Wiper Arm For Rear Window Wiper System

Removing wiper arm for rear window wiper system






1. Switch on ignition, turn on wiper for rear window wiper system and as soon as the wiper is positioned vertically, switch off ignition. The wiper must remain in a vertical position.

Caution Danger of crushing and trapping when working on the rear window wiper system.

Before removing wiper arm, remove ignition key and switch off steering column switch.






2. Unclip cap -1- at the sides and remove it.
3. Loosen fastening nut -2-.






4. Use the pole terminal puller 60 x 40 NR.99 to pull the wiper arm off the wiper linkage and remove the wiper arm.

Installing wiper arm for rear window wiper system
1. Switch on ignition and move rear wiper motor to its end position by activating it once.
2. Switch off the ignition.

Fitting Rear Window Wiper Fastening:

3. Fit wiper arm -3- and secure with the fastening nut -2-.
Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ft lbs.)

Information: Before fitting the cap, check the retaining lugs of the cap for damage. The cap must be replaced in the event of damage or if you have any doubts about it.

4. Fit cover cap -1- and press in until it is felt to engage.
