For improved AM reception, a mast antenna can be retrofitted on the right front fender of the above-mentioned vehicles. On vehicles with antenna diversity, the right antenna amplifier is omitted. Included in the parts set is the wire harness including antenna diversity, as installed (factory option) for vehicles with option, PCM or CDR24. The wires F2 and F5 (see parts list) are not used for the wire harness with antenna diversity. The template with dimensions for the cutout of the antenna base is shown in this bulletin (make copies as necessary).

Note!
Inform the customer requesting this retrofit that the antenna does not retract. For this and other reasons, Porsche does not recommend using automatic car washes for vehicles equipped with this mast antenna.

> When working on the electrical system, the battery must always be disconnected and covered.

> Always route the electrical wires without tension and so that no chafing occurs, and, secure to existing harnesses/components with tie-wraps/electrical tape.

Make Copies as necessary.

Due to the different printing characteristics of printers, the dimensions (in mm) of the template could deviate from the specified values after printing it out. Therefore, the template dimensions must be checked and printer output adjusted as necessary.
