Due to complaints regarding such issues as windows and/or the front lid opening by themselves when the buttons on the vehicle key are pressed unintentionally, for example, the following measures have been implemented on vehicles manufactured as of the specified date of introduction:
- Extension of the delay time after pressing button 2 (until the lid opens) from 471 ms to 700 ms.
- Deactivation of the "Open window" comfort function.
The "Windows" comfort function can be reactivated in the PAS control unit using the PIWIS Tester before the vehicle is returned to the customer, or at a later time if requested by the customer.
Please inform your sales department so that the customer is informed accordingly

Action Required:
- The delay time for "Opening the front lid using the remote control" must be changed and set afterwards using the PIWIS Tester.
As of PIWIS software version 15.0, the delay time can be changed afterwards. In the event of a complaint, the delay time allowed after pressing the button, which is stored in the PAS control unit, can be changed from 471 ms to 700 ms on vehicles manufactured before the specified date of introduction.
As of PIWIS software version 16.0 (available approx. calendar week 37), two additional delay times "long (900 ms)" and "extra long (1100 ms)" will be available as options. We recommend that you use these delay times whenever problems repeatedly occur while the setting "normal (700 ms) recommended" is selected.
- Reactivating "Open window" comfort function:
The "Open window" comfort function can be reactivated using the PIWIS Tester if requested by the customer.
NOTE: If a customer wants to retain the "short" delay time (471 ms) or reactivate the "Open window" comfort function, please inform him/her of the problems that may arise.
