Crankcase half
Tighten all screws in the cross bolt connection to the required torque in accordance with the specified tightening sequence.

Tightening Torque: 9.5 ft. lb.





Crankshaft Main Bearing

Position 14 M9 127 thrust-bearing screws manually. Pre-tighten screws to the required tightening torque in accordance with the tightening sequence.
Then tighten to the required torque angle.
Initial tightening: 15 (11 ft. lb.) Nm
Torque angle: 120°

Belt pulley on crankshaft (3.8L)
Tightening torque: 37 ft. lb.
Torque angle: 120°

Belt pulley on crankshaft (3.6L)
Tightening torque: 37 ft. lb.
Torque angle: 90°

Connecting Rod Bolts
Position the new connecting rod bolts with the associated connecting rod caps and tighten the screws by hand.
Pre-tighten connecting rod bolts to the specified torque and retighten with a torque angle wrench.
Initial tightening: 15 ft. lb.
Torque angle: 110°
Unscrew connecting-rod bolts.
Pre-tighten connecting rod bolts to the specified torque and perform the final tightening with a torque angle wrench.
Initial tightening: 15 ft. lb.
Final tightening - torque angle: 110°
