General

The electric/electronic equipment featured on the two new Cabriolet models is largely based on that of the corresponding Coupe models. The main difference relates to the electrohydraulic top mechanism. As well as the ability to communicate with external control units, such as alarm systems, radio remote controls or power windows, the electro-hydraulic top mechanism can be fully diagnosed.

Slight changes have also been made in relation to audio and communication. These are explained in detail on the following pages. Any details that are not explained explicitly correspond to those provided for the 911 Carrera/Carrera S Coupe. Further information can be found in the relevant sections of the Service Information Technic for the M.Y. 2005 911 Carrera/S (997) Coupe.
