Replacing Cushion Carrier For Front Backrest (Folding Sports Bucket Seat)






Preliminary work
1. Remove cover for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing front backrest cover (folding sports bucket seat)
2. Remove loop for backrest release. Refer to Removing and installing loop for backrest release (folding sports bucket seat)
3. Remove upper part of lock for backrest adjustment. Refer to Removing and installing lock for backrest adjustment (folding sports bucket seat)
4. Remove bowden cable for backrest release. Refer to Removing and installing bowden cable for backrest release (folding sports bucket seat)
5. Remove the side airbag. Refer to Removing and installing side airbag (folding sports bucket seat)
6. Loosen airbag wire harness (at the backrest side). Refer to Removing and installing wire harness for seat (folding sports bucket seat)
7. Remove bottom belt strap guide at the left and right. Refer to Removing and installing belt strap guide (folding sports bucket seat)
8. Remove cushion carrier for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing cushion carrier for front backrest (folding sports bucket seat)

Disassembling cushion carrier for front backrest






1. Unscrew fastening screw -1- and washer -2- (-arrow A-).






2. Pull collar -3- off the backrest shell -4- (-arrow B-).

Assembling cushion carrier for front backrest

Installing collar for backrest release
1. Position collar -3- on the backrest shell -4- (-arrow A-).






2. Secure the collar -3- with the fastening screw -1- and washer -2- (-arrow B-). -] Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)

Subsequent work
1. Install cushion carrier for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing cushion carrier for front backrest (folding sports bucket seat)
2. Install bottom belt strap guide at the left and right. Refer to Removing and installing belt strap guide (folding sports bucket seat)
3. Secure airbag wire harness (at the backrest side). Refer to Removing and installing wire harness for seat (folding sports bucket seat)
4. Install the side airbag. Refer to Removing and installing side airbag (folding sports bucket seat)
5. Install bowden cable for backrest release. Refer to Removing and installing bowden cable for backrest release (folding sports bucket seat)
6. Install upper part of lock for backrest adjustment. Refer to Removing and installing lock for backrest adjustment (folding sports bucket seat)
7. Install loop for backrest release. Refer to Removing and installing loop for backrest release (folding sports bucket seat)
8. Install cover for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing front backrest cover (folding sports bucket seat)
