Eliminating Noise Symptoms - Reworking Adjustments For Door Windows

Symptoms
Wind noise from the door windows when convertible top is closed or hardtop is fitted.

Causes and remedial action
The required adjustment measures for eliminating wind noise from the door windows vary depending on whether the wind noise occurs when the convertible top is closed or when the hardtop is fitted:

In the event of a complaint, the door windows must be readjusted with respect to the convertible top when the convertible top is closed.

In the event of a complaint, the channel strips on the hardtop must be readjusted with respect to the door windows when the hardtop is fitted.

Reworking adjustments

Adjustment measures when convertible top is closed
Adjust the door windows with respect to the convertible top. Follow the instructions given in "Adjustment of the door window pressing force on the door seal at the top and sides" when doing this. Refer to Removing and installing front door window

Adjustment measures when hardtop is fitted
Adjust the channel strips on the hardtop with respect to the door windows. Refer to Adjusting hardtop

Do not adjust the door windows while doing this.
