Shift monitoring
NOTE: The deviation of the turbine speed (transmission input) is monitored during the ongoing shifting procedure (upshifting from gear 2 to gear 3, or from gear 3 to gear 4).
If it occurs 3 times in the same shifting procedure, the fault is entered.
Diagnostic conditions:
- ATF level OK
- Selector lever position D or M
- Upshifting from gear 2 to gear 3, or from gear 3 to gear 4
Possible fault causes:
- ATF level too low or too high
- Hydraulic control unit faulty
- Transmission faulty (e.g., clutch slips, etc.)
Fault reaction:
- A warning is displayed in the instrument cluster.
- The torque converter lockup clutch is opened and held open.
- The transmission only shifts into gears 1 and 2.
