Power Supply For Solenoid Valves And Pressure Regulators, Implausible State
NOTE: The fault is entered when the supply voltage on terminal 15 is control unit Tiptronic 7V... 9V.
The voltage is too low to activate the solenoid valve + pressure regulator.
Diagnostic conditions:
- Engine speed > 1,408 rpm
- No active gearshift
Possible fault causes:
- Short circuit to ground or contact resistance
- Vehicle electrical system faulty
- Tiptronic control module faulty
Fault reaction:
- A warning is displayed in the instrument cluster.
- The transmission is shifted into mechanical limp home mode, i.e.:
- The pressure adjuster and solenoid valves are switched off.
- This opens the torque converter lockup and 4th gear is firmly selected.
- The gear display shows 4th gear.
