Rear Suspension

REMOVING AND INSTALLING SUPPORT PLATE

Important notes about the support plate





Remove and install the support plate -A- only under the following conditions.
^ All wheels must be lifted (freely suspended).
^ Always lift the vehicle at the specified jacking points with the lifting platform set up evenly. (Align lifting arms evenly to avoid distortion.)
^ Suspension alignment is not necessary if the support plate -A- is removed and installed under these conditions. In the worst case, the rear-axle wheel alignment values may change slightly. This could cause a slight change in the steering wheel position when driving straight ahead.

Removing support plate

1. Raise vehicle at the specified jacking points.
2. Remove rear underbody panel.





3. Remove right and left diagonal braces -B- and the support plate -A- Pull out the support plate -A- without undue force.

Installing support plate





1. Insert support plate -A- without undue force.
2. right and left diagonal braces -B-.
3. Tighten screws and nuts to the specified torque.
4. Fit rear underbody panel.
