WM 681519 Removing and installing glove compartment




Preliminary work

1. Remove right dashboard cover.
2. Remove trim panel under dashboard on passenger's side.
3. Remove right footwell light.
4. Remove cover (cold air bulkhead).
5. Remove right centre console cover.
6. Remove cup holder.

Removing glove compartment




1. Unscrew right fastening screws -2- from the glove compartment -1- .

2. Pull electrical line out of glove compartment -arrow- .

3. Unscrew left fastening screws -2- from the glove compartment -1- .



4. Unscrew top fastening screws -2- from the glove compartment -1- .




5. Carefully pull out glove compartment -1- ( -arrow- ) until the electrical plug connection can be removed.




6. Pull off electrical plug connection -2- ( -arrow- ) and remove glove compartment -1- to the rear.


Installing glove compartment




1. Swivel in glove compartment -1- at the bottom until the electrical plug connection -2- can be connected.

2. Plug in electrical plug connection -2- ( -arrow- ).




3. Swivel glove compartment -1- into the dashboard -arrow- and secure with the top fastening screws -2- . Tightening torque 2 ftlb.




4. Screw right fastening screws -2- into the glove compartment -1- . Tightening torque 2 ftlb.

5. Attach electrical line to glove compartment -arrow- .




6. Screw left fastening screws -2- into the glove compartment -1- . Tightening torque 2 ftlb.

Subsequent work

1. Install cup holder.
2. Install right centre console cover.
3. Install cover (cold air bulkhead).
4. Install right footwell light.
5. Install trim panel under dashboard on passenger's side.
6. Install right dashboard cover.

Technical values
Fastening screws 4.2 x 13 2ftlb.
