Child Seat: Description and Operation

Integration of ISOFIX and LATCH (UCRA) Child Seats







In developing the new seats, due consideration has been given to the possibility of installing child seats with ISOFIX or LATCH connection (A) to the passenger seat. As child seats with ISOFIX or LATCH are secured directly to the seat frame, the structural strength has been increased accordingly.

When the child seat is installed to the passenger seat, the passenger seat airbag can be deactivated by way of a key switch. This key switch and the preparation for mounting the seat form part of the Tequipment retrofitting package.
