Fuse Block: Description and Operation



Fuse Carrier

The Cayenne has fuse boxes at the right and left sides of the dashboard, in the water tank, the E-box and power distributor.

WARNING:
Risk of destruction of electrical and electronic components.
- Before a Maxi -A- and A to -B- fuse is removed, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.


There are 4 different types of fuse deployed in the Cayenne.

The fuse carriers in the right and left of the dashboard, in the water tank and E-box contain fuses of the type Maxi -A- and A to -B-.







The power distributor mainly contains fuses (fuse elements) of the type -C- Midi and -D- Mega.

Remove the fuse carrier covers on the left and right:
- Open the doors and run a plastic spatula between the cover and dashboard and remove the cover.







- Remove the defective fuse and replace with a new one.


Replace the fuse carrier covers on the left and right:
- Position the cover and press on until the cover clips engage.

Remove the fuse carrier covers on the left and right:







- Open the doors and run a plastic spatula between the cover and dashboard and remove the cover.
- Remove the defective fuse and replace with a new one.

Replace the fuse carrier covers on the left and right:
- Position the cover and press on until the cover clips engage.

Fuse assignment E-box, fuse carrier radiator tank

NOTE:
- The E-box is located in the plenum chamber, on left side in direction of travel.
- Remove the left cover of the plenum chamber.

Unscrew the 3 locking mechanisms -arrow- and remove the cover.

ATTENTION:
Risk of destruction of electrical and electronic components.
- Before removing the fuses (fuse elements) -C- Midi and -D- Mega from the power distributor, the battery must be disconnected.

Remove and install fuse element in power distributor.
