Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair
Removing And Installing Air Flow Sensor
Preliminary work
1. Remove front and left engine compartment covers.
2. Pull design cover straight up and off.
Removing air flow sensor
NOTE: The air flow sensor and air guide pipe are removed and installed as a single component.
1. Remove connecting tube from the air cleaner to the engine. To do so, loosen the hose clamp on the throttle adjuster and pull off the pipe. Disconnect cable plug from air flow sensor.
2. Disconnect connections on air cleaner lid. To do this, turn the pins by 180 degrees and pull them out. Now pull off the connecting tube.
3. Remove vacuum line on throttle body from connector tube.
4. Loosen hose clamp of connecting tube to the air flow sensor and carefully press in the two plastic clips on the air cleaner side. Disconnect air flow sensor from the connecting tube. If necessary, lever out with a small screwdriver. -arrow-
