Checking oil for transfer gear

Warning:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding

- Let the fluid cool down.
- Wear personal protective gear.

Information
- The vehicle must stand horizontally.

Information
The oil level can only be checked after the vehicle has been idle for 45 minutes.

The engine must not be started during this time.

1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -A-.





Inspection/drain plug

2. The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window.

Information
Use only oil approved by Porsche.

3. If this is not the case, top up the oil.
4. Screw in oil inspection plug -A- with new sealing ring. - Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -A-.





Inspection/drain plug

Information
Use only oil approved by Porsche.

2. Use the ATF filling device for filling transmission Nr.161 to fill with oil up to the lower edge of the inspection plug -A-. Raise the filling device.
3. Screw in oil inspection plug -A- with a new sealing ring. - Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
