Removing and installing engine carrier

Preliminary work





1. Support engine on the body.





2. Remove engine guard.
3. Remove the front-axle carrier.

Removing engine carrier

Note: This task can only be performed if the engine has been removed or suspended on the body.

Note:
^ Do not undo the engine mounts on the engine.





^ If the engine mounts have been undone on the engine -A-, they must be aligned using the engine carrier.





1. Undo the two fastening screws to the left and right -arrows- from above on the hydraulic mounts.





2. Undo the two fastening screws from the engine carrier -center arrow- to the body and remove the engine carrier.

Installing engine carrier





1. Install engine carrier. To do this, first position the fastening screws (M10 x 45) -arrows- on the hydraulic mounts and tighten them. Tighten the fastening nuts -A-. Tightening torque: 44 ft-lb. Tightening torque: 44 ft-lb.





2. Tighten the new fastening screws on the engine carrier -center arrow-. Tightening torque: 74 ft-lb. Torque angle: 180°

Subsequent work

1. Install the front-axle carrier.





2. Mount engine guard.
