Troubleshooting With No Control Module Connected

The following text is displayed in the Porsche System Tester II No.9588:

Communication problem with the control module.
- Restore connection by pressing (>>)
- Abort with (ESC)

NOTE: The wiper motor control module is not connected directly to the diagnostic socket (7 6-pin, driver's footwell). Communication between the wiper motor control module and the Porsche System Tester II No.9588 only takes place indirectly via 'CAN Infotainment' =>'Gateway' => 'K lead',

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Battery voltage is OK
- The Porsche System Tester II No.9588 is functional.

NOTE: The function of the Porsche System Tester II No.9588 and the diagnosis lead No.9588/5 can be checked on another vehicle

Possible causes of fault
- An incorrect vehicle type was selected on the Porsche System Tester II No.9588.
- Power supply on the wiper motor is not OK.
- Communication problem (K lead) with the gateway
- Communication problem (CAN Infotainment) with the wiper motor control module

Affected pins
Plug for wiper motor wiring harness:
- Pin 7'CAN Infotainment (high)'
- Pin 8'CAN Infotainment (low)'

Diagnosis/troubleshooting
