Removing And Installing Plug Socket Cover

Removing plug socket cover

1. Unscrew fastening screws -5-.







2. Unclip and remove plug socket or cigarette lighter -4a- from the centre console.
3. Disconnect plug connections.
3.1. Press in the locking lug on the connectors -6- ( -arrow A- ).







3.2. Pull off connectors -6- ( -arrow B- ).







Installing plug socket cover

1. Plug in connectors -6-.







2. Clip plug socket or cigarette lighter -4- into the centre console. Screw in fastening screws -5-. Tighten to the specified torque. Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)+0.5 Nm (+0.5 ftlb.).







Removing locking element

INFORMATION: Place protective jaws or cloths on the vice to protect the cover from damage.

1. Place the cover on a vice.
2. Position a screwdriver on the locking element from behind. Unclip the locking element by giving the screwdriver a quick, strong tap.







Installing locking element

1. Position the locking element from the front and press it in until the element engages securely.
