Heated Glass Element Relay: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Relay For Heated Windows

Preliminary work

1. Remove trim under instrument panel. Refer to Removing and installing trim under instrument panel.
2. Remove brake light switch holder. Refer to Removing and installing steering column.

Removing relay for heated rear window










1. Release the relay carrier -Arrow A- and pull it downward -Arrow B-.







2. Pull the relay out of the relay carrier -Arrow-.







Installing relay for heated rear window










1. Place the relay onto the relay carrier -Arrow-.







2. Press the relay carrier into the holder -Arrow A- until the locking tabs engage audibly.







Subsequent work

1. Install brake light switch holder. Refer to Removing and installing steering column.
2. Install trim under instrument panel. Refer to Removing and installing trim under instrument panel.
