Removing and Installing Three-Phase Generator
Removing And Installing Three-phase Generator
Technical values
Preliminary work
1. Disconnect battery.
2. Remove drive belt.
Removing the three-phase generator
1. Unscrew fastening screw -2-.
2. Unscrew fastening screw -3- three turns. The threaded bush in the linkage lever of the generator -1- must be reset in order to establish the required play to extend the generator. This can be done by tapping lightly on the fastening screw using an aluminium mandrel -2-.
3. Remove generator -1- upwards out of the slotted support. Unscrew fastening screw -3- and remove, together with the deflection roller -4-.
4. Turn generator -1- clockwise -arrow A- until the holding arm projects beyond the lug.
5. Tilt generator -1- carefully outwards and to the front -arrow B- until the electrical connections are accessible.
6. Release connector -2- and remove it -arrow a-.
7. Unscrew fastening nut -3- for the B+ lead -4- and remove the B+ lead -4-. Remove generator -1-.
Installing the three-phase generator
1. Insert generator -1-, connect B+ lead -4- and tighten with fastening nut -3-. - Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)
2. Connect plug -2- until it clicks into place.
3. Run in generator -1- carefully to the rear -arrow A-.
4. Turn generator -1- in an anticlockwise direction -arrow B- until the holding arm fits into its installation position behind the lug.
5. Insert and position fastening screw -3- and deflection roller -4- in generator -1-.
6. Insert generator -1- and fastening screw -3- from above into the slotted support and tighten fastening screw -3-. - Tightening torque: 46 Nm (34 ft. lbs.)
7. Tighten fastening screw -2-. - Tightening torque: 46 Nm (34 ft. lbs.)
Subsequent work
1. Install drive belt.
2. Connect the battery and carry out "Work instructions after disconnecting the battery".
