60 Sliding Roof (optional)

The electric sliding/tilting roof available as an option on the 911 Carrera/S (997) has been retained from the previous 911 Carrera (996). It is characterized by a low height and quiet running when operated. The noise optimized end position to which the roof opens in response to "one-touch" opening has been modified slightly to reduce the noise level (approx. -10 mm). It can be opened beyond this point to its full extent, if desired. It is operated via the rear control unit.
