Removing And Installing Cover For Rear Underbody

Preliminary work

Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting the vehicle

Removing cover for rear underbody

Removing cover for rear underbody - rear section







1. Unscrew fastening screws -2-.







2. Remove rear underbody cover -1-.

Removing cover for underbody - front section







INFORMATION: Fastening nuts cannot be used again following removal.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -2- and fastening nuts -3-.







2. Pull cover for underbody -4- out of the two brake air ducts -5- at the rear and remove it.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -2- and remove brake air duct -5-.







Installing cover for rear underbody

Installing cover for rear underbody - front section







INFORMATION: When sliding in the underbody cover, make sure the overlap is correct.

1. Position brake air duct -5- on the transverse strut and secure with the fastening screw -2-. Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)







2. Insert cover for underbody -4- and engage it at the two brake air ducts -5- at the rear.







3. Tighten fastening screws -2-. Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)

INFORMATION: Fastening nuts cannot be used again following removal.

4. Tighten fastening nuts -3-. Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm (2.0 ftlb.)

Installing cover for rear underbody - rear section







INFORMATION: When sliding in the underbody cover, make sure the overlap is correct.

1. Insert cover for rear underbody -1-.







2. Tighten fastening screws -2-. Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

Reworking

Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting the vehicle.
