Disassembling And Assembling Front Apron

Preliminary work

1. Remove front apron. Refer to Removing and installing front apron
2. Remove auxiliary headlight. Refer to Removing and installing auxiliary headlight
3. Remove right and left flasher repeater. Refer to Removing and installing side direction indicator

INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

4. Remove spray nozzle for headlight washer system. Refer to Removing and installing spray nozzle for headlight washer system
5. Remove front ventilation grille. Refer to Removing and installing front ventilation grille
6. Remove front wiring harness. Refer to Removing and installing front wiring harness

INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

7. Remove hose for headlight washer system. Refer to Removing and installing hose for headlight washer system
8. Remove number plate cover. Refer to Removing and installing number plate cover

Disassembling front apron

Removing support for wire harness







1. Insert a screw driver between front apron -1- and support -2, 3- and carefully take off. Check support -2, 3-, replace if necessary.







2. Take off and check fastening nut -4-, replace if necessary.

Removing cap

1. Carefully press the cap -2- out with a screwdriver. Pull out the securing cord -3- that joins the cap -2- and front apron -1- ( -arrow- ).







Removing side covering frame

1. Carefully press in the lugs of the covering frame at the side -2- with a screwdriver -arrow A-. First remove the covering frame -2- downwards -direction of arrow B-. Afterwards pull rearward -direction of arrow C- out of the front end -1-.







Pulling off joining latch

1. Pull joining latch -2- out of the front apron -1- ( -arrows- ).







Assembling front apron

Affixing joining latch

1. Position joining latch -2- on the front apron -1- and stick it on -arrows-.







Installing side covering frame

1. Insert frame laterally -2- upwards into -direction of arrow A- the front apron -1- and lock -direction of arrow B-.







Installing cap

1. Pull the securing cord -3- into the eyelet on the front apron. Clip the cap -2- into the front apron -1- ( -arrow- ).







Installing support

1. Press in fastening nut -4-.







2. Position support -2, 3- on the front apron -1- and press it in.

Subsequent work

1. Install number plate cover. Refer to Removing and installing number plate cover
2. Install front wire harness. Refer to Removing and installing front wire harness
3. Install front air grille. Refer to Removing and installing front air grille

INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

4. Install hose for headlight cleaning system. Refer to Removing and installing hose for headlight cleaning system

INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

5. Install spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system. Refer to Removing and installing spray nozzle for headlight washer system
6. Install right and left flasher repeater. Refer to Removing and installing side direction indicator light
7. Install auxiliary headlight. Refer to Removing and installing auxiliary headlight
8. Install front apron. Refer to Removing and installing front apron

INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with I-no. XAL.

9. Install front spoiler. Refer to Replacing front spoiler
