Disassembling And Assembling Convertible Top Compartment Lid

Preliminary work

Refer to Convertible top service position.

Disassembling convertible top compartment lid

1. Pull off foam pads 1.







2. Unscrew locating peg 2 from the convertible top compartment lid.







3. Unscrew fastening screws 3 from the convertible top compartment lid and remove the inner protective edging 4.







4. Remove outer protective edging 5 from the convertible top compartment lid.







Assembling convertible top compartment lid

1. Position outer protective edging 5 on convertible top compartment lid and push into place.







2. Position and push inner protective edging 4onto convertible top compartment lid, and tighten with the fastening screws 3. Tightening torque: 2.8 Nm (2.0 ftlb.)







3. Screw locating peg 2into the convertible top compartment lid. Tightening torque: 9.7 Nm (7.0 ftlb.)







4. Remove protective paper from foam pad 1 and stick pad onto the convertible top compartment lid at the places specified.
