Removing And Installing Cushion Carrier For Front Backrest

Preliminary work

Remove padding for backrest. Refer to Removing and installing padding for front backrest

Preliminary work

1. Remove padding for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing padding for front backrest
2. Remove side airbag. Refer to Removing and installing side airbag
3. Remove control button for backrest release. Refer to Removing and installing control button for backrest adjustment

Removing cushion carrier for front backrest







1. Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2-.







2. Pull frame for side airbag -2- out slightly and unclip locking lugs on the cushion carrier -1- using a screwdriver -arrows-.







3. Release locking lugs at the top in direction of arrow -inset A-.







4. Press lower locking tabs together and unclip cushion carrier -1- ( -inset B- )
5. Press cushion carrier -1- out slightly close to the backrest release -arrows-

Removing cushion carrier for front backrest







1. Remove foam part of headrest -1-.







2. Insert a plastic wedge between the cushion carrier -1- and the collar -2- and unclip collar.







3. Undo fastening screws -1-.







4. Release upper locking tabs in direction of arrow -Inset A-.







5. Press lower locking tabs together and unclip cushion carrier -1- ( -Inset B- ).
6. Press cushion carrier -1- outward slightly close to the backrest release and remove it.

Installing cushion carrier for front backrest

1. Press cushion carrier -1- outward slightly in area of backrest release and position it on the backrest frame -2- until the locking tabs engage at the top -Inset A- and bottom -Inset B-.







2. Press cushion carrier -1- at the sides into the frame for the side airbag -2- until the locking tabs engage.







3. Tighten fastening screws -1, 2-.







Installing cushion carrier for front backrest







1. Press cushion carrier -1- outward slightly close to the backrest release and position it on the backrest frame -2- until the locking tabs engage at the top -Inset A- and bottom -Inset B-.







2. Tighten fastening screws -1-.







3. Position collar -2- on the cushion carrier -1- and press in until it clicks into place.







4. Fit foam part of headrest -1-.







Subsequent work

Install padding for backrest. Refer to Removing and installing padding for front backrest

Subsequent work

1. Install control button for backrest release. Refer to Removing and installing control button for backrest adjustment
2. Install side airbag. Refer to Removing and installing side airbag
3. Install padding for front backrest. Refer to Removing and installing padding for front backrest
