Preliminary work

1. Remove rear light on right and left.-> 943119 Removing and installing rear light - section on "Removing" 94311900 Removing and installing tail light
2. Remove the rear spoiler. -> 665819 Removing and installing rear spoiler - "Removing" section 665819 Removing and installing rear spoiler (I-no. XAL)
3. Push rear spoiler in and down.

Installation location of rear apron

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- at the sides of the rear spoiler -2-.

2. Remove retainer plate -3-.
3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- at the top of the rear spoiler -2-.

4. Carefully pull rear apron -2- to the rear until the plug connection is accessible.
5. Press lug -arrow- of the plug connection -4- and separate.

6. Remove rear spoiler.

Safety instructions for the heat shield

NOTICE

Heat protection panels not fitted correctly

- Risk of damage to adjacent parts

-> Make sure the heat protection panels overlap correctly.
-> Replace damaged or distorted heat protection panels.
-> Check heat protection panels for deformation, fixing of the aluminium braided cord, tears and missing or damaged fixing tabs.
-> More than 80% of the total sealing area must be sealed without gaps.

Installation location of rear apron

1. Check the heat shields on the vehicle before fitting the rear spoiler and replace the heat protection shield if necessary. Check that the heat shields are properly fitted and correct if necessary. -> 635019 Removing and installing rear bumper - section on "Checking" 635019 Removing and Installing Rear Bumper
2. Plug in electrical plug connection -4-.

3. Position rear spoiler -2- on the vehicle

4. Screw in fastening screws -1- above and below on the rear apron -2- and tighten to tightening torque => Tightening torque: 2 ftlb..
5. Engage retainer plate -3- in square opening.

6. Screw in fastening screws -1- laterally on the rear apron -2- and tighten to the specified torque.=> Tightening torque: 2 ftlb..

1. Check gap dimensions of tailpipes -1- to rear apron -2- , if necessary, adjust tailpipes -1-.

Projection from rear spoiler: -Y = 26,2 +/- 2 mm-.

Distance from rear spoiler: -Z = 25 mm-.

Centre distance at the sides evenly to the left and right.

Subsequent work

1. After rear apron assembly, check heat protection shields for correct assembly, if necessary, correct. -> 635019 Removing and installing rear bumper - section on "Checking" 635019 Removing and Installing Rear Bumper
2. Check rear gap dimensions, adjust if necessary. -> 5000IN IN - diagram of body gap dimensions
3. Install rear apron. -> 665819 Removing and installing rear spoiler - section on "Installing" 665819 Removing and installing rear spoiler (I-no. XAL)
4. Install rear light on right and left.-> 943119 Removing and installing rear light - section on "Installing" 94311900 Removing and installing tail light
