Removing And Installing Spoiler Drive

Technical values







Preliminary work

1. Remove rear luggage-compartment lining. Refer to Removing and installing trim panel of rear luggage compartment
2. Remove the rear spoiler. Refer to Removing and installing rear spoiler

1. Unscrew the three fastening nuts -2- and remove the three washers -3-.







2. Unscrew the fastening screw -4- and remove the washer -5-.
3. Unscrew the four fastening screws -6- on both sides and remove the mounting plates -7-.
4. Disconnect plug connection -8- and lift up and remove spoiler drive -1-.

Installing spoiler drive

Installing spoiler drive

1. Insert spoiler drive -1- and position it.







2. Connect plug connection -8-.

CAUTION: Material damage to spoiler drive
- This can lead to leaks in the area (mounting plates) around the vertical unit.
- If the spoiler drive is removed or the fastening screws 6 are loosened, the mounting plates 7 must always be replaced.

3. Position both mounting plates -7- and tighten with the four fastening screws -6-. Tightening torque: 6 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
4. Tighten fastening screw -4- with the washer -5-. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
5. Tighten the three fastening nuts -2- with the washers -3-. Tightening torque: 6 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Install rear spoiler. Refer to Removing and installing rear spoiler
2. Install rear luggage-compartment lining. Refer to Removing and installing trim panel of rear luggage compartment
