Leak Detection Pump: Service and Repair

Removal

Removing leakage diagnosis pump

1. Unclip sheetmetal clips on carbon canister -1- with a screwdriver.

2. Carefully open the carbon canister using a rigid spatula or a wide screwdriver. -arrows-

3. Remove active carbon unit and lid.
4. Unscrew Torx screw -1- and pull off air filter.

5. Unscrew three Torx screws -1- used to secure the leakage diagnosis pump -3-.
Open the clamp -2- and pull off the hose.

6. Pull off cable plug for leakage diagnosis pump and remove carbon canister lid.
7. Remove leakage diagnosis pump.

Installation

Installing leakage diagnosis pump

1. Position leakage diagnosis pump.
2. Screw in three Torx screws -1- used to secure the leakage diagnosis pump -3-.
Fit hose and secure the clamp -2-.

3. Fit air filter and tighten Torx screw -1-.

4. Plug in cable plug for leakage diagnosis pump and position carbon canister lid.
5. Insert active carbon unit into the canister and lock the lid.
6. Clip in sheetmetal clips -1- used to lock the carbon canister.
