Technical values






Preliminary work for removing crankcase vent line

1. Place protective covers on the vehicle to avoid damaging the body.
2. Remove intake-air distributor 1-3 -> 244620 Removing and installing intake-air distributor - section on "Removing" Removal and Replacement.

Removing crankcase vent line

1. Remove holding clamp by unscrewing the Torx screw (M6 x 12) -arrow-.

2. Release and disconnect rapid-action couplings on both cylinder heads -arrow-.

3. Unclip all line clips.
4. Guide line out of the engine compartment.

Installing crankcase vent line

1. Replace the two O-rings on the rapid-action couplings. Apply a thin coat of Optimol MP3 grease to the O-rings.
2. Position line in the engine compartment.
3. Attach rapid-action couplings to the cylinder heads -arrow-.

4. Fit and tighten Torx screw (M6 x 12) to secure holding clamp on vent line -arrow-. => Tightening torque: 7.5 ftlb.

5. Clip in all line clips.


Subsequent work for installing crankcase vent line

1. Install intake-air distributor 1-3 -> 244620 Removing and installing intake-air distributor - section on "Installing" Removal and Replacement.
2. Remove protective covers on vehicle.
