Heated Glass Element Relay: Service and Repair

Preliminary work

1. Remove trim under instrument panel -> 701919 Removing and installing trim under instrument panel - section on "Removing" 701919 Removing and installing trim under dashboard.
2. Remove brake light switch holder -> 481519 Removing and installing steering column - section on "Removing" 48151950 Removing and Installing Steering Column.

Removing relay for heated rear window













1. Release the relay carrier -Arrow A- and pull it downward -Arrow B-.





2. Pull the relay out of the relay carrier -Arrow-.






Installing relay for heated rear window













1. Place the relay onto the relay carrier -Arrow-.





2. Press the relay carrier into the holder -Arrow A- until the locking tabs engage audibly.






Subsequent work

1. Install brake light switch holder -> 481519 Removing and installing steering column - section on "Installing" 48151950 Removing and Installing Steering Column.
2. Install trim under instrument panel -> 701919 Removing and installing trim under instrument panel - section on "Installing" 701919 Removing and installing trim under dashboard.
