Objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
1. Remove air cleaner housing.
2. Support engine in installation position using floor jack H 2 SL WE 1032 and transmission jack plate of transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A WE 1082 at the oil pan.
3. Loosen collar nut M12 (internal Torx screw, screw insert T55) -1- at the engine carrier and unscrew it.

4. Unscrew two hexagon-head bolts (M x 60 at engine mounting (item 1 or 2).

5. Guide engine mounting -1- upwards out of the engine carrier.

6. Check mounting carefully for damage (dents, cracks at metal insert, threaded bolt) or leaks (emerging hydraulic fluid).
6.1. Replace component if in doubt.

1. Insert engine mounting -1- at engine carrier and at the same time guide the threaded bolt -2- through the bearing eyelet on the engine carrier.

2. Insert two hexagon-head bolts M8 x 60 and tighten them. - Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft lb.).
3. Position collar nut M12 (internal Torx screw, screw insert T55) at threaded bolt of engine carrier and tighten it. - Tightening torque: 85 Nm (63 ft lb.)
4. Lower jack together with transmission jack plate and push out of work area.
5. Fit air cleaner housing.
