Symptom
Oil mist on underbody close to all-wheel drive final drive
Causes and remedial action
This is caused by a very slight oil leak around the sealing ring after the intake phase. No work must be carried out in the event of a complaint.
If drops are forming on the flanges of the all-wheel drive final drive, the sealing ring in question must be replaced.

Checking sealing ring for flanged shaft
1. Remove underbody cover.
2. Check the flanges on the all-wheel drive final drive to see if there are any drops forming.
3. If there are no drops forming, the underbody cover can be installed.
4. If there are significant drops of oil forming around the flange, the sealing ring must be replaced.
5. Install cover for front underbody.
