Disassembling And Assembling Remote Control

Disassembling remote control

INFORMATION:
- In the event of a complaint (remote control buttons too easily pressed), the silicone pad and buttons can be replaced with modified spare parts. See Porsche Electronic Parts Catalogue - PET.
- To prevent irreparable damage to the PCB as a result of an electrostatic discharge, always observe the following points:
- Only rework the remote control on a workbench or toolbox.
- Before opening the remote control, place both hands on the workbench or on the toolbox to ground yourself (place both hands briefly on the workbench).
- Then start working immediately.
- The PCB should only be held carefully at the edge.

1. Insert a small screwdriver between the cover and the lower part of the remote control -arrow- and carefully lift the lid off.

2. Remove silicone pad -1- with the printed circuit board (PCB) from the remote control housing.

3. Remove PCB -2- from the silicone pad -1-.

4. Lift up buttons (two or three, depending on the vehicle type) and pull them out of the remote control housing.
