Preliminary Work
1. Disconnect battery.
2. Remove pressure pipe.
3. Remove air cleaner housing.
4. Detach and swivel out air conditioning compressor.
5. Remove oil-filter console.
6. Remove generator.
7. Drain coolant.
8. Remove hydraulic pump with reservoir.
Removing belt tensioner
Warning
Coolant is hazardous to health.
Risk of skin irritation.
- Wear protective gloves and goggles.
- In the event of contact with the skin or eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water.
1. Remove unit carrier.
1.1. Remove coolant flange -5-.
Unit carrier
Unscrew M6 screw -4- on cable rail.
Unscrew M6 x 20 screws -3- and take off coolant flange.
1.2. Unscrew four M10 x 60 screws -1- and remove unit carrier -2-.
2. Remove belt tensioner.
Belt tensioner
Unscrew M6 x 16 screw -3- and two M8 x 16 screws -2- and pull belt tensioner -1- off the tensioning lever.
Installing belt tensioner
1. Install belt tensioner.
Slide belt tensioner -1- onto the tensioning lever. Fit and tighten two M8 screws -2- and one M6 screw -3-.
Belt tensioner
- Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
- Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
2. Install unit carrier.
2.1. Install unit carrier -2- and fit and tighten M10 x 60 screws -1-.
Unit carrier
- Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
Sealing rings for unit carrier
2.2. Install coolant flange.
Replace all sealing rings.
Fit coolant flange. Fit and tighten two M6 x 16 screws and one screw on the cable rail.
- Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Subsequent Work
1. Install hydraulic pump with reservoir.
2. Fill in coolant and bleed the system.
3. Install generator.
4. Install oil-filter console.
5. Fit air conditioning compressor.
6. Install air cleaner housing.
7. Install pressure pipe.
8. Connect the battery.
