Removing And Installing SDARS Antenna

Preliminary work
1. Open the hood compartment lid and move it to the top-most position using the hood switch.

Removing SDARS antenna







CAUTION:
Voltage peaks
- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit
- Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.







1. Release cover at the clips -arrows A- and unclip it -arrows B-.







2. Release plug connection for SDARS antenna -arrow A- and disconnect it -arrows B-.
3. Remove SDARS antenna.







3.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on SDARS antenna.







3.2. Lift up SDARS antenna -arrow- and cut the adhesive pad with a knife -1-.
3.3. Pull SDARS antenna and line up and out.

Installing SDARS antenna
1. Install SDARS antenna.
1.1. Clean bonding surface on the body.
1.2. Pull protective film off the adhesive pad for the new SDARS antenna.







1.3. Slide in and position SDARS antenna and line -arrow-.







1.4. Secure SDARS antenna with the fastening screw -1-.







2. Push plug connection -arrows- together until it engages securely.







3. Position cover on the hood compartment lid and press it in -arrows- until the clips engage securely.

Subsequent work
1. Close the hood compartment lid using the hood switch.
