PDK Transmission: Modified Oil Drain Plug (23/09)

Concerns:
ATF pan: Modified oil drain plug.

Information:
- Draining/changing ATF clutch fluid,
- Removing and installing ATF pan,
- Removing and installing electrohydraulic control unit.

A modified oil drain plug was installed in the ATF pan as of the middle of August 2009.

Modifications and identifying features:
- Material: aluminum (previously steel),
- unpainted, waxed surface (previously painted black),
-Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.) +3 Nm (+2 ftlb) (previously 22 Nm/16 ftlb. + 3 Nm/2 ftlb.).
- Marking on plug head: 15+3 (= tightening torque).

Date of Introduction:

Mid-August 2009, as of transmission numbers:

CG220 1 006028 (3.4-liter engine)
CG220 2 002453 (3.4-liter engine, with limited-slip differential)
CG200 1 007031 (2.9-liter engine)
CG200 2 002106 (2.9-liter engine)

9G1.321.025.00 --> Oil pan (with drain plug)
9G1.321.825.00 Previous/ --> Drain plug (no longer available once existing stocks are used up)
