Oil Pan

WM 175019 Removing and installing oil pan on 4.8 liter DFI engines





Preliminary work

Preliminary work

1. Remove engine guard.
2. Drain engine oil.





Removing line bracket for PDCC lines

3. Remove front wire assembly from the oil pan for PDCC.

4. Remove front axle carrier. Pay attention to the PDCC cable connections when doing so. Engine carrier remains fitted on the longitudinal members.

3 - Oil drain plug, M18 x 1.5 - Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)
4 - Screw, M6 x 20 - Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

1. Remove all screws from the oil pan. Remove oil pan.

3 - Oil drain plug, M18 x 1.5
4 - Screw, M6 x 20

2. If the seal is damaged when removing the oil pan or if the seal was leaking, the entire oil pan must be replaced. Otherwise the oil pan with the vulcanized seal can be reused.

1. Position oil pan and screw in screws by hand. Align oil pan and tighten.

Subsequent work

Subsequent work

1. Install front-axle carrier. Pay attention to the PDCC cable connections when doing so.
2. Fit front wire assembly to the oil pan for PDCC
3. Fill in engine oil.
4. Install engine guard.
