1. Remove engine carrier.

Warning:
Danger of injury!


- When working on the engine suspension, the engine must be appropriately secured against falling or lowering.

- Never use defective lifting equipment.

- Only use lifting equipment tested and approved by Porsche.

- The components are very heavy. There is a danger of crushing.

- Wear protective gloves.

- Please observe general warning notes.

1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the heat protection plate on the generator for the engine mounting on cylinder bank 1 to 4. To do this, remove two screws. -right arrows-

3. Loosen the engine mountings. To do this, loosen the fastening nuts on the brackets and remove the engine mountings.

Information:
The engine mounts must be aligned using the engine carrier.
The engine mounts differ (left/right) and must not be interchanged.

1. Position engine mountings on the support arm. When doing so, note the positioning pin on the mounting. It must engage in the recess on the support arm.
2. Position new fastening nuts and screw them on so that the positioning pin cannot pop out. Do not tighten the fastening nuts.

5 - Screw, M10 x 65 - Tightening torque: 60 Nm (44 ftlb.)
6 - Dowel sleeve
7 - Nut, M12 x 1.5 - Tightening torque: 75 Nm (56 ftlb.)

1 - Engine carrier, cylinders 1 to 4
2 - Screw, M10 x 45 - Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
3 - Hydraulic mount, right
4 - Engine carrier
5 - Screw, M10 x 65 - Tightening torque: 60 Nm (44 ftlb.)
6 - Nut, M12 x 1.5 - Tightening torque: 75 Nm (56 ftlb.)
7 - Bores for screws, M10 x 45

3. Tighten engine mountings on the engine. Tighten the fastening nuts.
4. Fit the heat protection plate on the generator for the engine mounting on cylinder bank 1 to 4. To do this, screw in two screws. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
5. Connect the battery.
