Coolant Regulator Housing: Sealing Rings For Intake Socket
Vehicle Type:
Cayenne S/Cayenne GTS/Cayenne Turbo
Model Year:
As of 2008
Jul 15, 2008
Concerns:
Sealing rings for intake socket in the coolant regulator housing.
INFORMATION:
1 - Removing and installing the coolant regulator housing.
2 - Leaks around the intake socket.
Situation 1:
When carrying out work on the coolant regulator housing that involves removing the intake socket (--> Fig. 1 -arrow A-), the previously used assembly grease 000.043.204.68 must no longer be used for the two X-shaped sealing rings when installing the intake socket.
Situation 2:
The reason for this change is that if too much assembly grease is used on the two X-shaped sealing rings during installation, the sealing rings may become deformed when the intake socket is installed (--> Fig. 1 -arrow A-) and therefore may not seal properly.
If a complaint is received, replace the sealing rings.
Action Required:
Use assembly gel 000.043.205.93 as the assembly grease for the two X-shaped sealing rings on the intake socket from now on.
NOTE:
The amount of get required for fitting must be diluted with water (50:50).
Parts Info:
000.043.205.93 --> Grease (assembly gel, 100 g tube)
948.106.511.00 --> Sealing ring (2 required)
