Replacing The Antenna Leads
Preliminary work
Preliminary work for PCM/radio antenna lead up to antenna control unit
1. Remove cover for centre console on the left and right.
2. Remove PCM display and operator control unit
Preliminary work for antenna lead for left antenna amplifier up to right antenna amplifier
1. Remove A-pillar trim panel on the left and right.
2. Remove trim panel under dashboard on the left and right.
3. Remove glove compartment.
4. Remove right air guide.
Preliminary work for antenna lead for left antenna amplifier up to KESSY/PAS control unit
1. Remove A-pillar trim panel on the left.
2. Remove trim panel under dashboard on left.
3. Remove control unit for KESSY/PAS.
Preliminary work for antenna lead for right antenna amplifier up to rod antenna
1. Remove rear part of right front wheel housing liner.
2. Remove carbon canister.
3. Remove battery cover.
4. Remove cover on the left and right.
5. Remove A-pillar trim panel on the right.
6. Remove glove compartment.
7. Remove right air guide.
Preliminary work for navigation unit antenna lead up to GPS antenna
1. Remove cowl panel cover.
2. Remove navigation unit.
3. Remove luggage compartment trim panels.
4. Remove trim panel under dashboard on left.
5. Detach relay carrier 1.
6. Remove glove compartment.
7. Remove right air guide.
Installing the antenna leads
CAUTION:
Risk of destruction when removing electric components with the ignition on.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
INFORMATION: The number of plugs can vary, depending on the vehicle equipment.
1. Release and pull off connectors -D and E- on the damaged antenna lead on the affected components. The illustration shows the connectors for the PCM display and operator control unit as an example.
2. Cut off the connectors on the damaged antenna lead, then insulate it and tie it to the main wire harness.
3. Route the new antenna lead along the main wire harness, guide it through the existing cable ducts and tie it to the main wire harness using tie-wraps.
4. Connect the connectors -D and E- for the new antenna lead to the affected components until the connectors are felt to engage. The illustration shows the connectors for the PCM display and operator control unit as an example.
Subsequent work

1. Install PCM display and operator control unit.
2. Install cover for centre console on the left and right.
Subsequent work for antenna lead for left antenna amplifier up to right antenna amplifier
1. Install right air guide.
2. Install glove compartment.
3. Install trim panel under dashboard on the left and right.
4. Install A-pillar trim panel on the left and right.
Subsequent work for antenna lead for left antenna amplifier up to KESSY/PAS control unit
1. Install control unit for KESSY/PAS.
2. Install trim panel under dashboard on the left.
3. Install A-pillar trim panel on the left.
Subsequent work for antenna lead for right antenna amplifier up to rod antenna
1. Install right air guide.
2. Install glove compartment.
3. Install A-pillar trim panel on the right.
4. Install cover on the left and right.
5. Install battery cover.
6. Install carbon canister.
7. Install rear section of front right wheel housing liner.
Subsequent work for navigation unit antenna lead up to GPS antenna
1. Install right air guide.
2. Install glove compartment.
3. Attach relay carrier 1.
4. Install trim panel under dashboard on the left.
5. Install trim panels for luggage compartment.
6. Install navigation unit.
7. Install cowl panel cover.
