Preliminary work
Information
- The front-seat air cushions must be bled before removing the front seat.
- Only for adaptive sports seats.
1. Remove control part trim panel. -> 721619 Control part trim panel - section on "Removing" 721619 Removing and installing control module trim panel
2. Position front seat on assembly fixture.

1. Press cover piping at rear carefully out of the seat frame using a screwdriver -arrows-.

2. Slightly loosen cover piping -1- with a screwdriver and pull out all around by hand.

3. Unclip fixing clips -1- with a screwdriver.

4. Cut open cushion clips -1- with side cutters and remove cover -2- from padding.

1. Place cover -2- on the padding and align with the contour of the padding.

Information
- Fasten cover to the padding, starting from the inside.
- Do this in the following sequence: rear, front.
2. Use the cushion clip pliers NR.130 and the cushion clips -1- to connect the integrated metal struts of the padding -3- with the metal struts of the cover strips -4-.
3. Check fastening clip -1- , and replace if necessary.

4. Position cover strips right and left -2- at the cut-outs provided to the padding and clip into the seat frame -3-.
5. Fit cover over the padding without creases.
6. Fit cover piping -1- all around the seat frame with a plastic wedge.

7. Fit cover piping at rear to seat frame with a plastic wedge -arrows-.

Subsequent work
Removing creases in seat cover (leather)
CAUTION
Risk of damage to cover if excessive heat is applied.
- Creases in cover
-> If creases have formed, only short partial warming with the hot-air gun is permissible.
-> The hot-air temperature must always be => Temperature: 50°C.
1. If creases have formed, partially heat the affected areas of the cover with the hot-air gun and smooth out the cover using the special tool.
