Preliminary work for tail light

Remove cover for tail light. -> 709419 Removing and installing cover for tail light - section on "Removing"

Removing tail light





Installation position

1. Release the electric connector on the tail light -A- and pull it off.





Unscrewing fastening nuts

2. Unscrew the three fastening nuts -1- for the tail light.
3. Remove the tail light.

Information

If the tail light is only removed and installed again, the seal for the tail light can be re-used.

If the seal for the tail light is damaged, this seal must be replaced.

If the seal is removed from the light, this seal must be replaced.

- If necessary: Pull off the seal and carefully clean the sealing face with a knife.

Installing tail light

1. Examine the tail light seal.

Information

If the tail light is only removed and installed again, the seal for the tail light can be re-used.

If the seal for the tail light is damaged, this seal must be replaced.

If the seal is removed from the light, this seal must be replaced.

- If necessary: Pull off the seal and carefully clean the sealing face with a knife.

2. Position the tail light in the mounting in the wing and secure with the three fastening nuts -1-.

3. Push on the central connector on the tail light until the connector clicks into place.
