PCM3(R) - Logbook Installation And Conversion

PCM3 - Logbook

INFORMATION This bulletin replaces bulletin Group 9, #1/08, dated August 8,2008.

Information:
Coding logbook

Model Year:
As of 2009

Restriction:
Only for vehicles with PCM3 and navigation system (l-no. 672).

NOTE:
The optional electronic logbook for PCM3 supports the driver in maintaining a logbook by recording all relevant data for the type of trip (private, business), much of it automatically, and reducing user input to a minimum. PCM3 automatically records every trip > 100 m. Trip recording starts as soon as the key is inserted in the ignition and ends when it is removed. PCM3 will automatically record the following data:

- Date/time of departure and arrival
- Mileage at the start and end of the trip
- Start and destination address (location, street, country)

If data is to be transferred to a PC, the recorded data can be copied from the PCM3 via Bluetooth(R) or the optional USB interface on the PCM3.
The data can be read in, edited and printed using the accompanying PC software.

After ordering, i.e. entering the part number and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in SAP, the enabling code should be displayed within one day once the VIN is entered in the Vehicle code information column in the PIWIS information system.
