Preliminary work
1. Remove transmission.

Removing clutch
Information
To avoid deforming the clutch pressure plate, always loosen fastening screws in at least five steps and in diagonally opposite sequence.
1. Counter at the flywheel.
Fastening screws on flywheel
Position special tool toothed segment 9538/1 ( -1- ) for countering at the starter ring gear.
2. Detach pressure plate.
3. Remove pressure plate and drive plate.
Installing clutch
Information
- Clean the friction surfaces of the flywheel and pressure plate prior to installation, e.g. with brake cleaner.
- Surfaces of friction linings must be free from contamination, especially oil and grease.
1. Insert the centring mandrel 3176 with the drive plate into the guide joint (needle sleeve).
2. Counter at the flywheel.
Toothed segment position for tightening screws
Place special tool toothed segment 9538/1 ( -1- ) on the cast edge of the cylinder housing.
3. Install pressure plate.
Information
To avoid deforming the clutch pressure plate, tighten fastening screws in at least 5 steps and in diametrically opposite sequence.
Always replace fastening screws.
4. Remove centring mandrel for toothed segment 9538/1.
Subsequent work
1. Install transmission.
