Technical values





Preliminary work

1. Remove left or right front wheel. -> 44051900 Removing and installing wheel - section on "Preliminary work" Removal and Replacement.
2. Remove the front wheel housing liner on the right or left. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Preliminary work" Service and Repair.
3. Remove the front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - "Preliminary work" section .

Removal

Remove electric fan (with frame)

Information

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

- Torx screws: (E.) for external Torx, (T.) for internal Torx.

- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)

1. Remove -1- holding bar (strut) by unscrewing nuts (SW 10) M6 -2-.





Outer bracket and strut

2. Release plug connection -1- for electric fan and pull off.





Fan cable connector

3. Unscrew outer Torx screw (E10) M6 x 12 for coller support -3- at the bracket and push the holder downwards and out of the guide.
3.1. Remove outer torx screw (E10) M6 x 16 -1- at hose holder.





Bracket from side

4. Unclip vent line -1- at bracket holder -2- in wheel housing.





Vent line

5. Unscrew sheet metal screws (SW 8) -1- used in fixing the frame on the outside.





Cooling fan

6. Remove sheet metal screws -2- and washers from the bottom at the bracket -1-.





Radiator bracket sheet metal screws

6.1. Unscrew hexagon head-bolt (SW 13) M8 x 25 -3-.
7. Unscrew nuts (SW 13) M8 -2-.





Bracket from side

7.1. Carefully pull the bracket downwards and pull the hose holder from the guide.
8. Remove the bracket in a downward direction.
9. Flap the electric fan from outside to inside and pull from the guides -2-.





Cooling fan

Install electric fan (with frame)

1. Push electric fan with frame into the guides -2-.
1.1. Fold electric fan forwards.
1.2. Place on sheet metal screws (SW 8) -1- and tighten.





Cooling fan

2. Install bracket from below.
2.1. Insert hose holder into the guide and place on and tighten with screw (E10) M6 x 25 -1-.
=> Tightening torque: 13 Nm
2.2. Place on nuts (SW 13) M8 -2- and tighten.
=> Tightening torque: 23 Nm





Bracket from side

3. Bracket when fixed.
3.1. Place on outer hex screw (SW 13) M8 x 25 -3- and tighten.
=> Tightening torque: 23 Nm
3.2. fit sheet metal clips -2- and washers from the bottom on the bracket -1-.

4. Clip on vent line -1- at bracket holder -2- in wheel housing.





Vent line

5. Plug on plug connection -1- for electric fan.





Fan cable connector

6. Install holding bar -1- and tighten nuts (SW 10) M6 -2-.=> Tightening torque: 13 Nm





Outer bracket and strut

Subsequent work

1. Install the front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Installing"
2. Install the wheel housing liner on the right or left. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
3. Fit front right or left wheel. -> 44051900 Removing and installing wheel - section on "Installing" Removal and Replacement
