Diagnosis information - DME V6 DFI

Exhaust camshaft adjustment driver

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage 9 ... 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 10 seconds

Possible fault causes
- Open circuit in activation line
- Short circuit to ground in control line
- Short circuit to B+ in activation line
- Open circuit in voltage supply
- Fuse F12 faulty (fuse carrier in plenum panel E-box)
- K7 connection point disconnected
- Exhaust camshaft adjuster faulty

Affected contacts on the DFI control unit connector
Connector [A]:
- Contact 21

Affected contacts on the exhaust camshaft adjuster connector
- Contact 1
- Contact 2

NOTE: The line for fuse F12 and contact 1 of the exhaust camshaft adjuster connector is routed via contact 4 of the KE 7 connection point.
