Diagnosis information - DME V6 DFI

Intake air temperature sensor: implausible

NOTE:
- The intake air temperature sensor is integrated into the hot-film mass air flow sensor.
- The hot-film mass air flow sensor must not be removed, but only interchanged complete with tubular piece.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Engine start temperature below 100 °C (212 °F)
- Engine temperature above 70 °C (158 °F)
- Vehicle speed above 40 km/h (25 mph)
- Intake mass air flow 52 - 300 kg/h
- No relevant faults (vehicle speed and engine temperature)

Possible fault causes
- Intake air temperature sensor faulty (short circuit)

Affected contacts on the DFI control unit connector
Connector [B]:
- Contact 13

Affected contacts on the hot-film mass air flow sensor connector (naturally aspirated engine)
- Contact 1
