V6 exhaust system
Removing exhaust system
WARNING
Danger of injury from heavy exhaust system.
-> Before loosening the exhaust system, it should be secured to prevent it from falling.
1. Secure the exhaust system under the vehicle using a jack.

WARNING
Danger of burns from hot exhaust system.
-> Only remove the exhaust system when it has cooled down.
-> Wear protective gloves.
2. Loosen connecting clamps between the catalytic converters and the exhaust system -1-. Then slide the clamps sideways onto the exhaust system. The exhaust clamps must not be reused.

WARNING

-> Before loosening the exhaust system, it should be secured to prevent it from falling.
3. Loosen the centre holder -2-. To do this, loosen the two fastening screws.

- Before the rear silencer is released, the exhaust system must be supported with a transmission jack or held by another person.
4. Unscrew the fastening screws at the left and right on the rear silencer -1-.

Installing exhaust system
1. Slide new exhaust clamps onto the exhaust pipes. The threaded joint must be pointing downwards.
2. Position the exhaust system under the vehicle using a transmission jack. Do not install too tightly.

3. Tighten the fastening screws on the rear silencer -3 and 4-. => Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

4. Tighten the front holder -2-. => Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
5. Move new exhaust clamps into installation position and fit them. The threaded joint must be pointing downwards. Adjust to maximum inclination and ensure the assembly length is the same on both exhaust pipes. => Installation position of exhaust clamp => Adjustment value: 10° => Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
