Removing number plate light

CAUTION

Risk of short circuit.

-> Before removing the number plate light, take out the ignition key and switch the light switch off.

Information

- Before removing the number plate lights, take out the ignition key and switch the light switch off. The plug connection must point towards the inside of the vehicle.

- The removal and installation of number plate lights in vehicles with an externally located spare wheel mount is described in the section on disassembling and assembling the rear apron. -> 635537 Disassembling and assembling rear apron

1. Remove number plate light:
1.1. Loosen the two sheetmetal screws and remove the number plate light together with the sheetmetal screws.
1.2. Actuate the connector and disconnect.

2. Removing bulb for number plate light:
2.1. Press the mount for the bulb apart and remove the bulb -direction of arrow- from the holder.

Information

- Observe the notes in => Bulb overview and installation instructions.

1. Install bulb for number plate light:
1.1. Insert the bulb in the mount of the number plate light.
2. Install the number plate light:
2.1. Insert the number plate light in the rear lid and secure with the fastening screws.
